I had the best time attending conferences this year.  The TASL Conference was awesome!
There, I met Sharon Draper, Vince Vawter, and Annette Laing.

Dr. Laing is a British American historian and author determined to make history fun and interesting for kids and teens.

Vince Vawter is awesome ... and he is from Tennessee!  I must have him visit my school.
Hope to arrange a visit in the Spring.

We plan to read his book Paperboy with the sixth graders, in January.   The paperback comes out December 23rd.
